Type 1 No insulin ?????

I am after some help.I got type 1 Aug 12 rushed in to hospital for 3 days,i have been on about a 150 units of insulin daily up to jan this year and so far not needed any insulin.i have a appointment at the end of this month which they do not know why.I have had 3 honeymoon stages last year.Any ideas would be really helpful as i have got know idea

ask your GP or diabetic nurse.

Hi u mean u dont take any insulin at all from january after being on insulin for a year?? What do you mean by 3 honeymoon stages?? U need insulin intermittently or what?? Have you done your GAD test & c-peptide levels?

i had GAD test & c-peptide levels when i first got taken in to hospital. 'honeymoon phase' is what they called it when you start producing insulin just before your pancreas dies.I have not taken any insulin since Jan,my A1C is 6.2%

But what is 3 honeymoon stages? Whats the number 3 indicating? How did ur GAD test turn up? Did u take insulin from august 2012 to this january continuosly? R u on any other medication for diabetes like incretin mimetics, gliptins?
Its great to come off insulin completely. But keep on eye on ur sugars.
