Hi everyone. I am new to this so I'm not doing this right forgive me.
I have a question I hope you can help me with.
I am a Type 1 diabetic and have been for the last 15 yrs. I am a Paramedic and have to renew my license annually.
I feel I have good diabetic control but still find it nerve racking waiting to see the consultant who will decide my future employment status. I have to show him 3 mths of blood sugar readings taken at least twice daily, with few under 4 mmols. Thus far this has not been a problem. I started my 3 mthly three to four times daily at the beginning of Jan. My license expired in April. Up until the 9/4 everything was going fine then for no reason my one touch ultra decided it was now the 12/6. I did not interfere with it in any way why would I as my records were good and going well. No forgotten blood sugars, if I only took one one day game over.
Has this ever happened to anyone? I just cannot understand why it would do this especially when we have not yet reached June.
I am seen the diabetic nurse on Monday and she is going to download the data and see what happens when she changes the date. I fear everything will not fall into place. I need three consecutive mths not three mths then a leap into June.
Please if anyone can tell me if this happened to them and how they resolved it
