Hello All, just had one query. Can type 1 control diabetes only with diet and exercise or insulin is a must.

Hello All, just had one query. Can type 1 control diabetes only with diet and exercise or insulin is a must.

Insulin is a must for T1s, though some LADAs (late and slow onset T1) can control by diet while in the honeymoon stages of the illness when they are still producing insulin. Long term, T1s stop producing insulin altogether and must inject or die.
