The finger prick was 2.8 so not much difference I never have too much difference with my libre and finger prick. No exercise either have a hypo in the middle of the night before unless that had something to do with it but before I left to go out my bloods were 8.7 because I done a finger prick before I drove then an hour later was the 2.4I can't comment on weight loss.
However, my first thought wrt the 2.4 alarm from the miaomiao was "What was your finger prick reading?" I find Libre (which is attached to your Miaomiao) is in accurate at lower values and went pressure is applied. Therefore, I would not 100% trust this reading.
My next thought is that the protein shake is unlikely to reduce your BG. I would double check my Sunday lunch insulin dose.
And finally, had you exercised in the previous 24 hours? As our liver releases glucose to aid our exercise, it is common for a low BG to follow exercise as our liver store are restocked.
Hello Dan - thought process in weight gain is that you're body mass is adding muscle which weighs more, so it would be a good idea to measure instead of weighing yourself when training ? I don't have any knowledge of using protein shakes for weight loss, but as long as your managing your blood glucose levels well and staying in range then this will also help with weight loss.
3 units for a protein shake sounds high. How many carbs were in it or were you also dosing for protein?
