Hey guys feeling a little helpless at the moment I've been a type 1 diabetic for 32 years now (not a good one) and my 15 yo daughter has just been diagnosed too she has just spent 9 days in hospital getting her used to injections and corrections. I feel so sad for her as it's so much to take on board at her age just wondering if any other parents out there have been in the same boat.

Aaww, so sorry to hear about your daughter, I will tag @mahola, she is in the same boat.
Take care x

Hi @sammiB
it must be quite devastating for you ( and your daughter).
there is a great community here for you and also for your daughter should she feel like talking.

with 32 years you will have loads of experience to help her with accepting this D.

I just want to send your whole family a hug [[[hug]]] .

Sorry to hear that @sammiB. It is a dreadful thing to happen to a teenager.
You did the same 32 years ago and look at all the advances in technology compared to those days. You've done well enough to raise a 15 year old so you've done well no matter what. Give her all your experience and knowledge.

You may want to get her to register on here when she is good and ready. Take Care.
