It says sleeping.pdf in the attached file, and when I click on it I get a download at the bottom of my computer screen. When I click on that I get the most adorable sleeping puppy on my screen
I expect she's now in my downloads forever

Morning friends, I was a bit naughty because I went to bed far too early and now here I am. Diabetes was okay for most of the morning until it got to lunch, thats when the bumpy ride started. But I woke up hungry and I had a dream about hypos so I shot up. 4.8 according to my meter, my dream was telling me something.
 
It’s stopped raining hurrah! In fact there are patches of blue sky floating past the window. Slept in til 6:45! Which was a pleasant change from the 5:30 all week. My body clock has not accepted retirement at all. Have a good weekend everyone.

It's actually sunny today with bright blue skies
 
I'm so glad the sky stopped crying but I don't see any blue patches of sky. Maybe it is still moody and wants to burst into tears.

One of the School escort driver's had an app for that, he was funny at times and had an app for most things lol
 
So I've been looking at part time jobs (taking into consideration of university) and most of them want a driver's license. Unfortunately I never really applied to learn how to driver and my diabetes isn't great especially with what happened in the past, so I'm quite scared to touch the wheel. I did a mock theory test and I was 1 mark off from passing it. I did apply for a provisional license and my bf did let me try or get a feel with his car. I had the libre at the time and about 15 mins in, my BG dropped from 11.1 to 7.5 within that time. So I don't know how I feel about driving. However I did apply for some within walking distance and a few minutes away, my bf can drop me off if I get accepted.
On the other hand, how do you ladies keep yourself looking presentable for work every day? full face make up? hair up in a bun or pony tail? Or full au naturel?
 
I also have another question for you all, health professionals haven't been able to answer me or give me an answer. It might require some speculation or thought. But here it goes: You know how companies are starting to or have started to produce automatic cars (like driverless car) where it doesn't require you to drive it. In the case of diabetes, my nurse said if you're caught with a low blood sugar behind your wheel, you'll have your licence suspended or taken off you, but what about in the case of an automatic car where your hands aren't on the wheel?
I know for sure the law might have to change and DVLA might have to include some information about it. It popped into my head when my bf and I had a discussion about morals. Who would be blamed for an accident if the car is driverless/automatic.
 
Me and the weather are as indecisive as one another at the moment! But, I did have a whirlwind of life admin yesterday and a pile of forms have been completed ready to return to different places. On Monday, though. Today, I will eventually get myself dressed and out of the door.
 

To be honest, it depends on the workplace, their dress code and currently for me which area I'm working in. But, I've never bothered with make-up, ever, and have short hair so it's all minimal. Others of my colleagues are more likely to think differently, but that's what they are comfortable with.

Last year, I spent all my days in workshops, so appropriate dress was steel-toe capped boots and overalls, or clothes that were tidy, but it didn't matter if they got covered in sawdust, oil, paint etc.. (I had a clean set of clothes in my locker all the time, just in case I had an emergency temporary move to other students or was going somewhere after work without going home first where I needed to be tidy.) This year, who knows, but I have just got some new jeans and t-shirts (which is acceptable in our situation.) as I'm more likely to be in the classroom all the time with less active students.

When I worked in bookshops, I dressed pretty much as I do now, but with smarter trousers and tops, with comfortable to stand in all day shoes. Still short hair and no make-up!
 
@MeiChanski - I don't drive (epilepsy) but I do work. I'm an au naturel kind of person - backroom so it's never much mattered what I look like. Back when I was a paralegal the partner I worked for was perfectly happy with me in somewhat boho clothes with multi coloured hair...... I wouldn't have been allowed that if I'd been front-of-house.

These days I'm barefoot, tattooed and boho - and it still doesn't matter

If you're going to see the public they'll want you looking smart. Defo smart for interviews! My lad was offered his current job and was interviewed wearing a suit. When they phoned to offer him the position he just said "Dress code?" and they told him what sort of things they preferred (turned out to be jeans, T-shirts and trainers - he's backroom . But interview smart.

Most of the young women in the law firm wore a bit of make up and hair back or up.
