Thanks,Belated congrats on keeping your licence @Jaylee, what a relief!
@Jaylee, that's great news. Do they send you a reminder that the license needs renewing?
Hello friends
9.2 this morning, a bit high but aunt Irma came to visit me so I take it.Work was busy today and I had a chat with a lawyer on whether I should walk away or pick on this fight. A bit hypo at work as well, auto mode doesn’t suspend basal, it does stop basal delivery when you hypo or before you hypo, which I found out a day into it. On manual mode, it’ll shoot in a warning and suspend insulin.
Hi @Jaylee, your pancreas may be failing but your memory isn't, I've got a Skoda and a Renault. I filled in a form when I was diagnosed but no idea which one. Got a new license back which is valid til Oct this yearHi again,
If memory serves me correct. You drive don't you? (A Skoda.)
Have you not had to fill out a DIAB1 form when diagnosed & on informing the DVLA.
Ah, in that case expect a reminder & form in the post around September time? The turnaround on getting a renewed licence should be pretty quick..Hi @Jaylee, your pancreas may be failing but your memory isn't, I've got a Skoda and a Renault. @Jaylee thanks for this useful info. When the other half had his pacemaker fitted he had to inform the DVLA but licence was not restricted however he now has a 3 year restricted licence due to Parkinsonism so it’s good to know that the DVLA will send a reminder.Indeed they do. In the form of a DIAB1 form normally a month or so prior to renewal date? (A 3 year licence is the max they give.)
I normaly tick no to everything & yes to wearing glasses.
But this time round because I had anti-VEGF jabs in both eyes nearly 3 years back, there were a few more hoops to jump through..
@Fairygodmother you’ll have them for a long time so get the ones that you like the look of. If it’s anything like our new kitchen a few years ago we went significantly over budget but not regretted it.Good afternoon all, have a good rest of the weekend and hug your tiles close when Ciara calls.
Reducing basal again so Spring must be on the way - hypo drops make sorry reading on the number crunching app and a friend has toads mating in her pond.
Why oh why are some decisions so difficult to make? I’ve sourced all that’s needed for replacing the manky kitchen but the idealised vision and reality of purse leads to humming and hawing the compromises. The last bit is tiles. Not many, but the cheap white ones or the nicer, arm and a leg blue ones? It’s like +0.5 or not for that piece of cake!

Thanks @Jaylee, really helpful. I don't know when I had the photo for the license done, I suppose they'll tell me about that tooAh, in that case expect a reminder & form in the post around September time? The turnaround on getting a renewed licence should be pretty quick..
Pending on when you last did your photo for the license ID, (every 10 years? Like a pasport.) you may need a sitting in a photo booth too.!?
Hope this helps.
Morning all, just braved Ciara with the dog. The wind was strong enough to stop me at one point, but only very light drizzle so it could've been much worse. Some power problems locally, haven't hit me yet so fingers crossed! Hope everyone stays safe today.

Mei - of course, it is your choice, but a decent lawyer, specialising in Employment Law cost me £450 an hour, + VAT of course, 10 years ago. My bill went into many thousands. Lawyers can read very slowly, it seems.
The process was extremely stressful, and right now, you have the opportunity to walk away from a situation you have not enjoyed, into a potentially more settled role, with different opportunities going with it.
You have a lot of things going on in your life at the moment. In your shoes, I'd go for building positivity for myself, and not lingering with the past.
There is an argument to suggest going for the settled life and keep your hard earned money in your bank account.
I do know, looking back at my own position, which eventually came good, if it were to recur, I would deal with it very differently.
Of course, these are your personal decisions to make, but do consider the time, effort and emotional turmoil you could be bringing upon yourself, whilst trying to settle into a new job, pick up the threads to get back to finish your degree, as well as just getting busy living.
My plum tree just got blown over in my garden.Bit breezy out, innit?
