Congratulations on getting an early upgrade for the pod next week. You will be lost with doing no jabs everyday.

Woke to a 6.2 this morning. Really happy as had fish and chips last night as well and nearly always miscalculate for them

congratulations <3

Morning,

Managed 1 of 4 family celebrations without binging on carbs and mostly staying in range.

I have weddings and a birthday party to come...

How do people cope with ‘food pushers’? I have lots of them in my family. They just don’t understand the need for me to pre-bolus.

Can be awkward. I have politely said 'No thank you' before and then just had the food item plonked down in front of me anyway.
In these situations I just don't eat it and if an explanation is required I just say ' Sorry, really couldn't eat any more right now.'

Sit them all down, explain the pre-bolus situation, hit them with the scariest things that can happen to a T1 and then bring out the nerf gun. Now they know, the next one who food-pushes will get it.

Good morning and it's a sunny Saturday. I have a cough this morning and chest feels a little tight, so hoping it will get better as the day goes on. Had some rain about 6pm yesterday, also my friend popped round and bought me a Calla Picasso lily pot and another friend made me a raspberry and lemon posset, but did I pay for it......17.0 last night , miscalculated, but corrected with Novorapid and 10.2 this morning and he also collected my first pack of Tresiba from his local village chemist, result ta ta 4 now X

Woke with a lovely 5.1 this morning. Came down to fed Cat and let him out to find the freezer door wasn’t properly shut: sticky paw marks, sticky foot prints, ugh! Spent 2 hours chucking things away, cleaning, wiping, mopping, cooking what was cool and usable.
Thank goodness daughter, son-in-law and grandsons are arriving today - buffet prepared, even if it’s a slightly odd selection. Hope they’re hungry.

Yeah, about that. I’m not actually a natural purple. So wasn’t out in full plumage today...

My adult daughter has always had colours in her hair, on Thursday she had a platt with green in it, but it has been all colours and dreadlocks too, loads of piercings and tattoo's too. I don't do any of that, nor does her father, my Ex ! But I do like to see other's with dyed hair, some lovely blues and pinks out there, so expressive

Many years ago I recall staying in a Youth Hostel in rural Tasmania. The rooms were on the first floor either side of a long corridor. The fire escape sign pointed towards the far end of the corridor. At the corridor end was a door with a coiled rope on the floor, with the sign, "In case of fire use rope"

Hi @slip, Sometimes, squeezing the finger after the finger prick to get extra blood causes fluid in the tissues to be squeezed out, mix with the blood and dilute it down the sample giving a falsely low BSL result. I always re-check well out of range results for this reason.

Morning y'all, I woke to a 7.7 having drifted up to 9 in my sleep, early days but the trends I'm seeing may have me move my basal to the morning but I'm happy enough having changed as I'm getting more consistency than I can recall ever having

Whoever suggested trying 'jumbo oats' thank you as the blood results after breakfast are more consistent too, which is very pleasing, a 2 course breakfast is nailed on again too.

Not sure if he is or was more of a “Green onions “ man

I've a photo of me somewhere, around 1991 in Brighton, in a fishtail parker, posing stood where 'Jimmy' stands at the end of the alleyway on the Quadraphenia album cover long ride is York- Brighton on a 200cc Vespa

I am still amazed. About I a week or so ago, I reduced anti-depressants as instructed. After first week BSLs went up, insulin doses (pump basal and bolus) up 30 % and not easy to control.
Keep going for the 4 weeks (was told it takes 3 weeks or so for the effects of dose change to settle out). Pulled the pin at 4 weeks.
One week after restoring the dose to normal, BSLs settled back down and insulin doses back to previous amounts and now 2 weeks after still as good. I cannot credit how an antidepressant dose could make such a difference.
I am still not suggesting we put anti-depressants in the drinking water and I am grateful that I am not getting any appreciable side-effects to the medication like weight gain etc.
I guess if something works without their being a straight-forward answer be grateful.
It would be nice to know how it works though !! Always look on the bright side of life .de dum, de dum, de.....

I always remember one lad who it not like pumpkin for some reason He would say that he was allergic to it and that stopped the food push straight off !! Also also heard of the term, applied to teenagers, of 'legume anorexia', to do with their dislike of veggies. Perhaps the fancy quasi-medical term might work : No. please I could not possibly, I have pavlova anorexia !!

Morning all! Steady night but DP has pushed me into the nines. Got a couple of units on board to deal with that. Best bit was being woken up by torrential rain!

I can’t actually dye mine any more due to an acquired allergy to hair dye, but I do have an assortment of wigs and clip in felt dreads that I adorn my otherwise thin, lifeless and mousy brown hair with it’s naturally very dull. I do have a fair bit of metalwork in my ears and several tattoos though!

Love the patter of rain on a roof, just not any drips from leaks !! Just wait until you have your pump up and running @Mel dCP.
