We have had rain, lots of it, my In Bloom plants are jumping for joy! The water butt is overflowing and it is now only 25 in the hall. And the thunder just keeps on rolling.
In other news woke on a 16!!!! It was swim morning so I was not happy. Got it down but not quite enough. It severely hampered my monthly 20 length time trial. 4 seconds slower. Not happy!

Sorry about the swim-duff; worth it though for the bliss of rain and a mere 25C!

@Knikki Growing up with a crop and a scooter those bands weren't ever an option but I've got 'A whole lotta rosie' down on guitar these days and do occasionally blast a bit of rock out :)

Yep see your point, but as we mature, bit like a good cheese, in our older age, music we dimissed in our Yoofs! starts to become more palatable :) least thats the excuse I use :D

and now the frustration of trying to move home and dealing with estate agents and solicitors.

Feel you pain (if I had the capacity to take more!) when we last moved our buyers threw up a stink that there wasn't a fire escape out of a bedroom window on the second floor because of the conservatory...........by law all second floor rooms should have a safe alternative fire route ie not on to a conservatory glass roof! this 'stink' came from the buyer via their solicitor to our solicitor and then to us - they were adamant we had to put in a fire escape...........I tired to put it as plainly as possible to all so they could all understand the concept that the house had a ground floor and a first floor but NO second floor ! It was a standard downstairs upstairs 3/4 bed semi.........it was embarrassing but not for me!

Seeing as we can only chose one response, this reply is a like for the happy plants, and a hug for the high morning blood sugar.

Hard luck there, but on the other hand only 4 seconds slower with a higher blood's very good going as you're fractions of a second per length slower only! Always look for the positives :)

Hi @becca59, please remember not to mix up the temperature readings with BSL's !!!

Thanks @alphabeta you posting a number got me thinking about my scores last night and this morning and thinking why am I feeling low as I was 13.3 before breakfast, went to dose for my brekkie and obviously a correction was involved, the bolus calculator suggested 6u for 40g of carbs plus 5u for the correction, 4hrs later I'm 2.7................whats even worse is that 11u dose, because I couldn't be bothered to change the cartridge, ran out at 10u - I was thinking at the time big deal I was only 1u short, its hot today so probably a good idea anyway.........thank god in retrospect!

Although I live about 30 miles from Salisbury Plain, sometimes the distant rumblings are military exercises rather than thunderstorms (or neighbours playing AC/DC :)) for days (and sometime nights) on end.
One of the nice things about the hot weather is they have stopped for now. I would like to say it was because of fire risk but actually it's because there was a fire; I could smell the smoke in the air (30 miles away)!

And it's nearly the weekend so only one more day of pointless meetings then I can chill for a couple of days.
No military activities here in the East Mids. We are however close to open cast mining and if we ever move house will be even closer to daily blasting, usually around midday. Biggest problem is the dust, you can’t see it but after a few days it builds up.
Fortunately we will be a good distance away from the dust problem.
Don’t you just love pointless meetings.:banghead::banghead:

It is common that hot weather can cause a hypoglycemia; as a possible explanation, metabolism is faster (think of heat as a catalyst for metabolism) thus insulin absorption is faster but shorter.

Guys brace yourselves! we all know how the alignment of the planets affect our T1D...........this could be our Armageddon!
I’ve got 10 vials of novorapid on standby, 4 boxes jelly babies ready to sacrifice their little lives for me, 3 blood glucose monitors and 100 test strips ready to go ( new batteries), ketone test strips, an old cup ( wife assures me we don’t use anymore) to use with test strips:) and mobile phone fully charged.
Who knows what will happen cometh the hour.
Stay safe fellow T1’s. And remember....DO NOT LOOK AT THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!
