I felt it. But it didn’t hurt as such. I think the 5-7 seconds after pressing the activation button and hearing it clicking while waiting for it to happen didn’t help! It fires with a fairly loud clunk, but not as loud as Libre application.

That's good to hear. I think they should vary the timings so you are not expecting it

Excuse my lack of understanding of pumps etc but does the cannula need changing on a regular basis or does it stay there?

The whole thing gets changed every three days, and you put a new one in a different spot. The cannula is all part of the little pod, so there’s no visible tubing (well, you have a little viewing window so you can see it and check it’s in properly). So you fill the new pod with insulin using a syringe, stick it wherever you want it, activate it using the remote control unit, and you’re all set. So what you see in the photo is literally all you wear.

I want one!

@Mel dCP thanks for the info - hope you get on ok with it.

Congratulations on getting your pod - it's smaller than I thought, fascinating. Hope all goes well!

Morning y'all and a better start for me at 5.7, yesterday started badly and didn't improve much as what goes up comes down and if you do it wrong then goes back up again, and on and on..... You know the score

So I've to do yesterdays gym today after work, in fact my 'jobs to do' list is quite long today but it won't spoil my Friday.

Hope @Mel dCP had a good first night with her pump if I'm honest the thought of using one scares me witless (well it rhymes with witless anyway )
