Morning all! Just checking in while I burn Ferocious dog CDs for the car... @Jaylee - have you come across them?

@kitedoc - you do get an extensive array of alarm sounds, but sadly no option to choose an Alarm gig, which is a shame. Missed opportunity there... I usually have Siri shouting URGENT! HIGH GLUCOSE!!! at me, which is fun. At 3am. I only run the alarms at night, I can keep an eye on my watch when I’m awake.

@Robinredbreast - good luck with the day’s battles. Trying to work out who MM is now! Mary McCloud?

Went to bed with a 4.9 and a glucose tablet. Stayed in the 5s almost all night, which makes me very happy. Took a unit at half three, and another two at eightish, currently at a 6.7 and slowly falling. Not got a great deal on today, work is very slow (anyone want any silver handwriting jewellery making? ;) ), so I’m going to do some more sewing repair work on my ancestral patchwork quilt that’s falling apart. Always fun to see what effect a complicated job has on my levels...

Omnipod day tomorrow. Slightly bricking it, it’s the biggest change to my healthcare regime in 20 years. I’ve installed Nightscout on the husband’s phone, with an alarm set at 3mmol, so he can keep half an eye on me as I’m alone/driving/working with blowtorches a lot. Just while I get used to it.
Ha! A pump with tubing could be a liability with a blowtorch !!!

@Mel dCP Yeah good luck with the OmniBorg tomorrow ;)

An update my little sexy pancreatic friends :)

Well I leveled out at 20.2 :arghh:

27 units plus lunch plus another 2 units just for good luck and I finally bottomed out at 2.9 :arghh:

That was in a meeting as well :hilarious: But don't worry I no one noticed, lucky my avatar I think :hilarious:

Plus I am also glad the cooler weather has arrived it means that I can now unwrap a Timeout without getting melted chocolate everywhere :joyful:

All is now well with the world :cat:
Enjoy 'Time Out", sounds like you have been naughty !!

Warmer over the past week with evening showers. Strong northerly winds which will stir up the allergy sufferers unfortunately.
I have oodles of kites needing small repairs so no flying them at present and I am trying to plan and complete two new kites designs/prototypes.

Morning peeps, not the best start to the day 7.8 at bed and rose steadily during the night to 10.1 at 7am Breakfast and a wee correction dose

Mel good luck with the Omnipod this will hopefully make a big difference to your life

Have a good day everyone

This sounds very interesting.
It keeps me off the streets and gainfully occupied but as they say: there is no rest for the wicked and even less for the righteous.
I am making some kites that look like flying fish: one a Japanese flying fish: phys.org A Twist In the Tail: Flying Fish gives Clues to Tandem Aircraft Wing Design and google: pictures of flying fish:. And later there is a squid that 'flys' backward !!

Morning everyone,

Is it Omnipod day for @Mel dCP today? hope it goes well.

Yesterday I said to someone that since Freestyle Libre my blood sugars have almost got quite boringly predictable. I think the diabetes gremlin heard, and decided to make everything go wrong, so yesterday was a bit too eventful for my liking.

Is the diabetes gremlin like some pagan god, who when displeased will cause havoc. I wonder what I have to do to make him happy?

Does he want a temple? sacrifices? strange rituals when worshipping him?

I think I'll raise my daytime levemir dose by 1 unit today, and see if that improves things, but will that please the omnipotent, all powerful, unpredictable diabetes gremlin?

Hi @Alison54321, I think the gremlin is repelled by having Peace of Mind, and if it troubles you, give it a Piece of your Mind.

15.8 :( self inflicted as I made a curry with my young un & her friends left over kebab meat and it must have had a lot of rusk in it, it did rise to 18 sleeping but had a 2u correction around 5am, self inflicted problems do suck, but it was probably the portion size more than the contents :)

So I feel a bit 'meh' but anyway.

the little un's still asleep and I'm hoping her mum is at home in an hour so I can drop her off before work but won't be surprised if she's on the missing list till after lunch, the ashes scattering went quite well, it's a funny old world as whilst at the crem I bumped into an old mate who married a funeral director and is training up to be one and at some point I'm to contact him with a view to some sub contract pallbearing :)

No just stoopid ;)

You need to be out at midnight doing the hokey kokey in anti clockwise direction round the M25, to the tune of "Aga Do" while wearing a grass skirt and a wooly jumper and eating several pasties from a Gregs Drive Thru.

That should appease the little gemlin for you :hilarious:

@Cumberland good to see you back :)

@kev-w So long as the curry was tasty then that should be OK and now I want one ;)

All well with me back running mid 5 and want to be lower.

Least I remebered this time to inject :oldman:
