Tough decision. I would go for the chilli con carne myselfDebating if to make a chilli con carné from some steak mince out of the freezer or chicken curry for tea, decisions decisions....
Actually, now I think about the only injections I do dislike, are canulars into the vein on the hand, I do find those most discomforting.
Haha, I've had the same tattoo line too a few timesbut I'm a wuss when having my blood taken, never had a problem injecting insulin but hate Phlebotomists (aye I know, I looked it up ) a trainee missed 3 times once when soon diagnosed and I've got good veins and a long memory....
Cold out now so I've come home for lunch, weighing up whether to swim & gym or just gym, sitting at 4.7 I'll need a snack for the gym and a bigger snack to swim so may sack thatI've a skip trip to do too but may do that shortly before it closes for quieter roads as there's roadworks on my route across town.

BIG HUGS @Robinredbreast reading that just sent shivers down my back. I would have been screaming having that lot done to meI had tubes and canulars in a lot of places, the one's in my neck were uncomfortable and pulling, when the nurse, took them out she told me I had 4 stitches holding them in place and she had to snip them out, I had gauze and tape too. I nearly fainted when she told me, I really HATE stitches, even the thought of them and my stomach turns overAlso an Anaesthetist said the canular in my right wrist wan't letting the blood flow properly, so he man handled me and very painful it was to, removed it and then put another one in my left wrist. That day my thumb and fingers on my tight hand were stiff and painful and my hand had swollen up, but a doctor said it was probably Oedema and it should be okay in a few days
xx(((HUGS)))xxI had my telephone consultation with my GP today ( never met him though) talking about sick notes and I talked to him about how I am feeling about what happened, he said could I go and see him in a weeks times at 11.30 am. So I can talk to a medical professional about certain things, including not sleeping, thinking it could happen again and being more anxious about things, so that's a start. I tend to say, oh I'm alright. I'm fine and getting better when I'm not, but some days I am so upset and think of myself as a burden and everything was my fault. the loneliness too and it get's on top of me, but I am not looking for sympathy, it's a little moan on here amongst friends, sorry

AND show off with your big words for DRACULAs at the hospitals
Are you sure you clean windows? I think you write about cooking as much as windows; I'm starting to wonder if you are a chef.
It's baked cod with fennel and tomatoes for me.
Need to buy a lemon and some thyme but I have rest in the fridge ready to cook.
I bleeding HATE injections...not too bad doing them myself () BUT if a nurse or Dr comes near me it is sheer panic. I have been known to pass out having bloods done. And my all time friend the DENTIST I loath going to see him, probably the only man in the world that scares me lol
I take a very minimalist approach to cooking, but I just cooked some mackerel, in the oven, with some vegetables. It was really nice, I can't quite get over how nice it was. I didn't want to buy it because I could see the skin, and I'm a bit squeamish about fish skin, though not squeamish enough to faint, but I bought it because it was the cheapest, and it was really nice.
Ooh mackerel is lovely especially smoked pepper mackerel, but my god does it stink to high heaven. My son has banned me from cooking it in the house
When I wrote that, I didn’t seem to, but things went a bit pear shaped after that, so thanks for pointing it out! I shall update....@Mel dCP looked at the lemon cake recipe and then lmao reading your About section where you mention hardly needing to bolus... can this really be the super correcting Mel I 'know'?
Woohoo. Came home and her indoors asked if I fancied Chinese for tea. Garlic riceand garlic chilli king prawns. Total guess on carbs. That was 2 hours ago. Now on a 4.2 with and downward trend. Small bar of chocolate and strawberries to the rescue. I really didn't feel like jelly babies after @Knikki has put an image in my head of headless ones that @helensaramay has just spat out
