Moan away lovely x

The jelly baby ghosts are haunting you already, a few more won't make any difference.

Though having said that, strawberries for a hypo is probably nicer.
There was only a few strawberries there
. They were nice thou. On a straight 6.6 line now. Happy

Hmmm, the chilli was nice and there's enough for tomorrow, and tomorrow I'll inject 1u less as I dropped to 3,1 working the carbs out wrongly grrrrr I've not cooked it for a while and would usually cook a 'standard' portion of brown basmati rice but today I warmed up a 60g carbs pouch of Tilda which is less. Roll on breakfast

A sombre couple of hours at mothers sorting through things again, it's going to be a long job at the speed I'm going at

Morning peeps hope you are all well. I had similar experience as Kev with my chilli. Very little carbs, but took slightly too much insulin again, and ended up with a gradual drop from around 5.7 to 3.6 just before bed. Faithful jelly beans to rescue an went to bed a bit later with 8.3 and rising. Took correction dose (should I have done)? and it rose to 11.4 overnight and woke up with steady drop overnight back down to 8.1. Bleedin 3 night in a row I have had the same experience

Early finish today for me so hope you all have a good day

When being flobottomised ( I might have made that word up) nursey says "its just a slight scratch" and sticks a needle in like a harpoon......

Too much food last nigh and not enough insulin resulting in a 12.8 at 5.30.....
I had such a good day yesterday too.
Twas the food and insulin that spoiled it!!!!

I might use that as my epitaph......

Someone should start a post " write your own epitaph"

"I told you I was ill" has always been my fave

Have a top day everyone and an even better weekend....

Good morning y'all 8.3 and the flattest line I've had all night whilst using the Libre so I'm feeling pleased as I've not been too pleased with a drop I've seen whist sleeping, I've been up half hour and it's dropped to 7.6 looking like a drop of 7u is about right

Roll on the weekend!

I'll edit that, so as I was soaking my Frio case I dawdled injecting, I had to put a new cartridge in the pen and am sure I've had an air shot at least I'm sat 40 minutes later with an 8.7 scratching my head, I checked the pen and insulin came out shooting 2u into the air but I cannot honestly remember if I did that to start with.

What's that old saying? Familiarity breeds contempt..... Grrrrrrr

Edit again, air shot so I've tried again and had 2.5u this time.

Sharp scratch.....lol I always say your wrong to that statement. And flobottomised is my new favourite word....

Woke to a 7.6. Very happy especially after Chinese. Then I realised I have a l9ng weekend
. I am slow sometimes

Not happy, up at 6am to prepare for swim at 7am. Get there, CLOSED due to chemical problems grr! It was closed a fortnight ago as they couldn’t get the cover off. Had weighed up my levels on waking, eaten, and then injected for a good workout, and then had to come home and inject more insulin. As I had woken up high to start with it’s going to be a rough morning.

Morning and it's a sunny start here. A slight drop, as I awoke on an 11.1, oh well
I need to pick up, or get someone else to do it, another 'fit' note from GP, bring it home, upload it word for word on my UC account, then get it up to the Job Centre for them to check it and declare the new fit note as seen
Have a fab Friday everyone

You have my sympathies for that! It is soooo frustrating when you set up to swim, wander in in eager anticipation to hear "pools closed" knowing that you've then corrections to make, it's not like it can be a spur of the moment thing to go swim safely...

Good morning,

Nice steady blood sugar overnight, in the 4s and 5s, a little dip below, but I corrected it with a few picota cherries, which work very well, I find. They just seem to gently push it back up. They won't be for sale for long, so this isn't a long term strategy, but I'll enjoy it while I can.

Just going back to the exercise discussion, I don't 'exercise' although I'm usually quite active (when not suffering sciatic pain!) so I walk the dog twice a day, cycle to and from work (about 5-6 miles a day in total), keep an allotment, garden and theres always some DIY to do around the house I am usually well and fit. I don't drink that much and usually mostly red wine. I was diag. at 27yrs old at the time I played hockey and continued to do so for a good few years after - only gave up when the daughter arrived; very much like my hockey mates some of which I've known since school. Lets say some of them (most) have 'gone to pot', without the diabetes I'm sure I'd be much like them and be unfit and unhealthy - so the T1D in some respects is a blessing..........!

The whole 'fit' note procedure sounds like it is enough to give anyone a fit !! Does the bureaucracy not think that the exhaustion caused will keep people unwell for longer or not ? Commissertions !

Just to point out @becca59, if you levels were ab0ve say, 12 to 13 mmol/l, exercise would only have caused the bsl to rise even mor. Apparently the body starts to release some glucose from the liver at 13 mmol/l with exercise, for some bizarre reason.
I usually wait until my BSL has corrected to say 10 mmol/l before exercising. You may wish to see how you BSL goes and see whether 12 - 13 mmol/l is a problem for you too with exercise. Best Wishes and Comisserations !
