Robinredbreast - The forum colours were changed, in order to meet accessibility standards for contrasts, for those with visual impairments. It wasn't just a whim.

I didn't say it was just a whim, I said a chin wag, which would involve talking, which I'm pretty sure would of happened with staff, but if it is for visually impaired member's or guests, then that is a good thing.

Morning all,

the gremlin that was causing hypos at night has now moved to breakfast time, yesterday that caused me a few problems, and blood sugar went a bit high in the evening, lots of corrections stopped it going too high, but still. I'm sure that was a knock on consequence of the breakfast hypo, so I'm trying to avoid one today, and see how the day unravels. No doubt if I get rid of that little gremlin from breakfast it will turn up somewhere else, but for now I'll be happy.

Morning chaps, hope you’re waking up to a good day. Nothing to report here, sewing club this morning, and then getting my protest kit (including blue hair!) together ready to get the coach to that London tomorrow morning for the Peoples’ Vote March on Saturday. It’ll be interesting to see how my levels cooperate (or not). I’ve not done a march since I got my pump! I suspect I may need a reduced basal for the day, I’m so glad I have all my tech to help me keep a close eye on it. Love to you all

Morning

Thanks for all the hugs and chin up messages, in some respects is good to have a day off.

Normal service now resumed so back to be my usual flippant, arsy, cake eating self

Might have over cooked it last night as was round 6.9 heading north on Etch A Sketch so a blat of 3units plus Dulag and according to the graph spent all night in the 3,s which is where I woke up to, so, so I guess but all is fine.

Now sat here at work drinking coffee and quietly complaining about carp software.

Good morning all. Was woken by my Low alarm last night...2.2....grrrr few jelly babies and a small chocolate bar (no cake in the house )....Woke to a 6.6 this morning
Glad to see your back to your normal self @Knikki
@kev-w I didn't recognize the new avatar....made my come out in a sweat just looking at the exercise machine you are on
@Mel dCP a woman brought her car in for an MOT this morning....purple hair and a purple jump suit....thought it was you for a sec

Glad you're feeling more chipper today @Knikki. However, I am slightly concerned by your food obsession: "cake earing", "over cooking", "carp" (other types of fish are available).

Cheers, well wouldn't be me if I didn't have some food, cake, chocolate or other tasty goodies obsession

Actually the only reason I used "carp" was because I couldn't remember all those names we made up for various swear words

In contrast to @porl69 I was woken at 03:00 by the High alarm in xDrip+
Must have had something to do with the slice of cake I took back from a family member's birthday to have as a dessert last night.

15.9 - 3u in and tried to get back to sleep. Woke up to an 8.0 so that worked fine.

It highlights the point in how effective Fiasp can be when it gets to work in contrast to Novorapid/slow/sluggish.

The only one I remember is Mels Cat...... What a load of mels cat my memory is

Edited for bad spelling!!

Good morning all.
Awoke this morning......that’s the most important thing.
Secondary to that was an in range reading BUT that’s only because I was rudely awakened by the Dexcom at 2.30 telling me I was steadily climbing towards the stars. Had a bit of the infamous Novorapid and went back to bed.
Everyone seems in a good place today which is nice to see and hear.
@porl69 seems you may have started a trend with the avatars. “Diabetics doing things”
Off to a bit of DIY now. Wish me luck

Alternative swear word for future reference.
Ball cocks is a term often used by myself and @kev-w when referring to plumbing items or frustrating situations

This is my mate Dave. I have a lot of friends in the garden. There is also a mouse spider called Keith but i don't have a decent photo.

Did you know spiders can't hear sounds over 10,000Hz? Well they can't hear my wife scream above that frequency............

I'm not sure if i can hear above 10'000 htz either! - too much drum n bass

i can certainly feel the bass though.

Well had a doctor apt this morning to discuss recent blood test results and with out much prompting when told HbA1c was a bit low launched into my CGM use, improvements with hypo severity and frequency, micro management and control and with my Dexcom beeping 4.3 at me, thought I was going to go hypo

I'm impressed by your defence of a "too low" HbA1c, though I'm not sure what an HCP can do to stop you having a lower HbA1c than they want, confiscate, or ration, your insulin? send someone round to force you to eat carbs? make big pizzas and pies compulsory?

Maybe this is the reasons CCGs are having so much trouble agreeing to fund Libre, it's a massive shift of control, away from the HCP to the patient, perhaps they just can't handle it.

When we had our "inducation" for libre I remember the doctor it jokingly saying you won't need us any more soon, as technology allows you to monitor your own health more and more, but maybe this is the root of the problem.
