Or 'migraine variant' i think docs call them.Sounds like a 'silent migraine' I get them with similar symptoms, no idea what triggers them.
Pinch punch ... now January is over.
I too woke to see white stuff covering roads and cars. I don't think it will last as it is already falling off roofs.
.
Too late. Tesla already has it (to a degree!)Hmmm - do you think I should patent the idea?
.
But maybe that's something they could introduce for electric cars. I could see it working when they are charging.
It's sliding off the roofs of parked cars as well as houses.
Whilst it could be a great invention to avoid the need for scraping ice off on winter mornings, I don't think any cars have CH.
I suspect there would be an outcry for pumping out fumes whilst parked.

The latest local weather report here is about 4" snow lying and more falling.
Google says it is currently zero degrees outside and my central heating agrees. My office thermometer said 16.0 degrees. Then the heating realised and came on to warm it up to a wapping 17.6.
Bloody hell no.....one of the customers who comes to the garage has one. In the mornings he presses something on the remote and it heats the car up so its warm when he gets in! They are a very nice car thou.Do you drive a Tesla?
If so, my image of you has just changed.
Taking a soft brush & clearing the roof on any vehicle is low tech but advisable before attempting to drive.
Lol, folk have been caught out with the snow on the roof sliding forward & obscuring the windscreen & laboring wipers.

Yeah the other half uses it on times, I want to get it to 300k. The engine will make it with ease BUT the body work, wings, are a bit rustyNo ice to scrape off my car either in a morning - I simply open the garage door and reverse it out.
Does the Bora still go occasionally @porl69?

You can't have both it seems as they age - either they rot on the outside or the oily bits give up. Bodywork is the lesser of two evils to me. I thought my mates petrol 55 plate A4 hitting 200k was good going! Next target on mine is 123456.
Next to HbA1C review, MOT is probably next on the “ will it be alright “ list.Oily bits are not the problem for me, I work in a garage/MOT stationBody work is my issue

The cam belt snapped on the Bora a few years ago.....I called in a LOT of favours and got it done pretty cheaply (no labor cost)Pipes got my last car at 230K - went in for an MOT, came out with ebola. Full set of brake + suspension pipes for a Xantia gets expensive. I was quite sad - I'd hoped it would get to 300K. Current car will probably die from bodywork. I've never killed an engine.
