Type 1'stars R Us

We've been playing with pumps here, but of a bigger variety, removing water from the house. Nothing wet which isn't safe to get wet (lower area of house is all tiled for just this reason), so not too bad and we're mostly back to normal now. Didn't seem to do anything exciting to blood sugars.
Now looking at puddle sucking pumps - the bigger one died.
 
@evilclive . That sounds awful. Mother Nature as beautiful as she is can be so cruel to us at times.
Hope everything dries out and gets sorted ASAP without affecting the BS too much.

We're used to it - it's not deep, the water is pretty clean, so things just dry out. It's a bit worse when it gets up to the carpeted part of the house, but even that was fairly easy last time (when it rained enough that Malham Cove had a waterfall) - wait for it to recede, suck the water up, admire the newly clean carpet

The more tedious bit is getting house insurance - they run a mile, even with Flood Re.
 
I have to admire your positivity. Not sure I could be as accepting.
Insurance companiy must be the most stressful bit. Good luck.
 
I agree with @the rower, don't think I'd be that pragmatic. The stress in that'd certainly give me spikes!
 
Hi, hope you have all had a good day. Had chicken Kiev tonight and daughter wanted mash potato as she has gone off roastie's.
My little toe on my tight foot is painful, a bit red. swollen and tender too, I tried to post a pi.c but it says the image is too large.

Tonights amusement - Jeremy Renner having "sugar sickness" and having to inject himself every so often in the somewhat silly Hansel and Gretel film. Let's not worry too much about the way it's described he got it - eating too much of the gingerbread house
 
Morning all!

Here's hoping I don't succumb to any lurgy after the children's work at church yesterday and listening to the tales of woe of several kinds they've all had this past week! Still, I think I'm immune to chicken-pox, which is also doing the rounds here and I had to admire a few scabs.

Annual appraisal... with new line manager. This should be interesting. Never quite understood why managers can have no education background in an education setting.

Off to work in a mo but getting older has its perks - I'm part time now and only work four mornings a week. Every time lunchtime rolls round and I come home I'm so grateful!

I'm sure it's been good for the diabetes because I have lunch at home and my lovely hubby carb counts for me (he's the house cook) - it really helps!
