Type 1'stars R Us

Thanks guys for all your support, understanding and kindness

Showing someone around my town soon as the weather is lovely, so I have a dress on and will wear my sandals too.
Have a great Saturday X Love to you all, even the smelly ones I've read about

Hi @Robinredbreast thats a shame you are feeling a bit **** but dont worry we have been there. I hit 26.2 earlier this week for no reason I could fathom out. wacked in a shed load of Novo rapid via injection instead of pump and over night I dropped to 4.1. Think as others have indicated it may be down to the wrong knickers being worn or the wrong colour of socks. The joy of type 1 Big hugs

Hi all, up & out v early this morning, just catching up. @Knikki glad to hear things are settling down for you, @Robinredbreast sorry you had such a **** start to your day. Just so glad you started this thread as there's always someone who understands/has had the same problem/has a suggestion/sympathises/sends virtual hugs etc, so you're just getting a little of what you made possible for all of us. Thank you.

@Daphne917 cruncy peanut butter? with celery? in a sandwich? No sorry, so wrong on so many levels.

@helensaramay I can send you a pic of said keks

@Robinredbreast how you feeling? Managed to get things back to more normal levels?

Well today is certainly better than the last week, while having a nap I got woken by the alarm on the phone saying 2.6 which I'm oddly happy with.

Should have gone off earlier but for some reason the phone dropped the link to the MiaoMiao, oh well good excuse to eat Jaffa Cakes

I get the pharmacy assistant is only doing their job, I really do, but remind me only to buy my occasional box of Co-codamol when the sensible assistant who is mostly used to me by now is serving me. Warnings about effects on driving have been added to the ever-increasing list of things they have to say and I was, um, possibly getting a little exasperated as I do with inefficiency in the pharmacy (I'd had to send this assistant to the fridge for the insulin.).

"Do you know the guidelines about driving and insulin?" I ask, to which I got a puzzled look and a sharp "Why are you asking me that, is it relevant?" "Never mind, " says me, picking up my prescribed needles, test strips, Levemir and Novorapid and exited rapidly before I could say anything else.

Late on parade, long day. Glad to read that Robin and knikki are feeling better!!! Highs are the devil’s children!
And I stick by the marmite choice. Glad so few like it - more for me

Reactions: hh1
@Fairygodmother , @Daphne917 . Desecrating peanut butter with such things as Marmite and celery!!!!!!! It’s just not on!!!!!!
@Robinredbreast . So happy you’re feeling better, hope your day out was enjoyable

@Knikki . I always thought us T1’s went commando in order to decrease the chances of unexplainable sugar levels.
Busy day erecting new garden fence for daughter, so not really had opportunity to check BS , just ate when i felt hungry, seems to have worked out ok. Dexcom has been steady around 6 mark.
Enjoy what’s left of a lovely Saturday.

@Knikki how about peanut butter on toast or, even tastier, on a chocolate covered rice cake

I thought celery was designed for houmous (and better in a double act with carrot).

Good evening all! I've not had much chance to be around this week and skimming through the thread it looks like some of you have had busy and packed ones too.

T1 wise things have been a bit 'nothing to report' the last few days for me. Did forget the second half of a split Fiasp bolus earlier which resulted in a spike but I stuck the landing so hey ho.

My home WiFi has just decided to keel over but I think that's my fault as I suspect I've overheated the box. Some work has been going on round here with holes made in walls and floors and I had moved it nearer to a radiator which by funny coincidence has come on in the last half hour - oops. I'll put it back on once it's cooled down for 15 minutes.

Family meet up tomorrow lunchtime for Mother's day and then F1 in the afternoon. I hope all the mums on this forum have a good day (and are suitably spoiled) tomorrow.

Still a little high, I think I will open a brand new packet of NovoRapid. I had a lovely time this afternoon and I will try to upload photo's tomorrow, don't forget to put your clocks forward 1 hour.
Nighty night zzzzz

Celery, peanut butter in a sandwich..... I am getting seriously worried about some members on here lol exactly, so wrong

Why use celery as a scoop when a perfectly good spoon will do just fine? It’s the devil’s vegetable, grown in the allotment of Hades.

Running high this evening, suspect shark week resistance has reared its ugly head so have switched basal programmes accordingly. At least I’ll have a good excuse to be horrible to teenagers next week.

Sleep well, hole-ists x

Morning everyone! Clocks, blood glucose meters and Mr Doofer, the pedometer, have all been put forwards the hour. Everything else sorts themselves and I don't bother about the heating system clocks. My body is doing its annual protest that it is far too early! So, no walk this morning as the admin pile needs tackling first!

Still, it's also a busy Sunday, I may get the entertainment of watching those who forgot about their clock changes arriving late for the Mothering Sunday service (there's fun to be had from the excellent view from my organ stool from time to time...) just in time to get their flowers.

Morning guys. Does it still count if my chick is all grown up and long since flown the nest? And my husband does more looking after of me than I do of him?

Anyway, my bath bombs arrived yesterday. They smell gorgeous!

The sun is shining, the dogs are happy, blood is happy, coffee is nearly ready (filling the house with that gorgeous smell). All is shiny in my little world.

Hope every one of us wakes up to good figures and a happy day
