It's a yes no answer to that. Superglue came about in 1942 when a chap at Kodak was messing with plastics to make a gun site. Did not work and later he dug the formula out again to use on aircraft canopies, again did not work. However he did notice that it was very good at sticking things together, which he did.Didn’t they invent superglue as a skin repairer in the Vietnam war for mending soldiers in the field? I often use it on cuts, topped with insulating tape (or gaffer tale if it’s more serious!) - stings a bit but does the job.
Im on day 11 of mine being on my lower back just slightly to the side have not had any problems at all arms are nearly recovered asked consultant at clinic if it was ok there and he said it was fineI'm new to this Libre thing but first one I had was on my inside left arm and by 10 o'clock that night I was ready rip it out, really uncomfortable and like you felt it was nudging the muscle. 2nd one failed after. a few days and the one I currently have is high on my right under arm. Everytime I scan it people think I am sticking deodorant on. Saying that it is now comfy and I don't feel it.

I have an aunt who was diagnosed at 53 but shes the only one (mums sister)i was diagnosed at nearly 50 just over a year ago both my dad and bother were type 2 xxWhen I was first diagnosed, I asked my mum if there was anyone else in my family with diabetes. She mentioned some aunt I'd never heard of so I asked her to explain where this aunt fit in the family tree. Turned out she was the wife of someone's cousin's step daughter's. . Ok so I may have made that up but she was not a blood relative ... She was a distant relative through marriage.
I was told very specifically to only put it on the arm but I'm interested in where else people have had success with!I have a follow up about the Libre in a couple of weeks I shall enquirer as to other places to place it.
Thanks
Wow target set between 5-8.Ooo, time in target - zooms about like the stock market. Today, above 36, in 50, below 14. Target set at 5-8. This libre’s 1.5 above BG so could be more below. A few jelly babies gone from the store.
Hey mate. I sincerely hope you don't get someone with my sense of humour when you ask " where to place it?"I have a follow up about the Libre in a couple of weeks I shall enquirer as to other places to place it.

My target is 4-10. I'm easily pleased.. Have to admit to not being a great lover of numbers, finances, stocks and shares, graphs, charts and mathematics. I think in the grand scheme of life I was designed for the more physical stuff.

You've not tempted us with any culinary delights today as far as I can see.
Still thinking about bl**dy spag bog. Next meal out is gonna be Lasagne as it's the closest to spag bog you can get in most pubs.
Spikes'R' Us????????????
Fellow Libre users - come on and upset me, what are your time in target percentages like?

At work we do blood sugar bingo... everyone takes a guess before I scan or test.BTW, @therower, I’m not a fan of statistics, etc., and definitely not of the stock market - it’s just a big casino. BG roulette anyone?
It's pneumonia that nearly killed me. I am so lucky to be alive and a special 17 year old person is going to getting a big treat, my brave girlExperiences like the recent one our dear @Robinredbreast is recovering from put the fear of god(s) into most people, it’s not surprising many T1s go out of their way to avoid even a mild hypo. The only one I’ve ever had that needed paramedics was this January, when in a rush I got the dry and cooked weights on a packet of pasta mixed up, and injected for the dry weight - basically 50% more than I needed. Didn’t need any intervention other than gel, but it was scary. That was pretty much what made me decide to go low carb... I like the “small numbers” thing. Less carbs means smaller doses, means less chance of hypo. I am (probably unhealthily) obsessive about tracking how much IOB I have in two separate apps on my phone, so I’ve got a rough idea of the lowest it’s likely to fall at any given time. But as bodies don’t always obey the maths, it doesn’t always work. Hasn’t stopped me from aiming for non-diabetic levels though.
<keto evangelist alert> One thing I have found with keto though (forgive me if it sounds like I’m banging on about it) is that hypos feel very different. They come on very slowly on the whole and I don’t get the panic and overwhelming need to eat everything in sight, although I do get the other symptoms like cold sweats, tingly lips etc. I think because my brain is now ketone fuelled rather than glucose fuelled, it’s still rational enough to know that I need a spot of glucose to bring my body up to normal levels, but it’s all very calm. Just an “Oh, I’m a bit low. Best sort that out” kind of thing. Very matter of fact. </keto evangelist alert>
