Morning folks hope you are all having a good weekend I had the 24 hour blood pressure monitor on yesterday and overnight. going off every 20 mins until 10pm then every hour during the night. It was actually not that bad Unlike my BG which at 2am this morning was horrendous at 16.2. All I had for dinner last night was 5 pieces of pakora from local takeaway which I bolused for as 40 grammes of carbs. I then had half a portion on chicken tikka bhuna and a fairly smallish piece of nan bread. I again bolused for this at 40 grammes. During the vening I also had about half bottle of dry white wine, number 2 on the dry scale. I appreciate that there will be no definitive answer as to how many carbs are in a chicken tikka Bhuna, it will vary from takeaways but I would have thought that this and a small piece of nan bread would not exceed 40g of carbs. same with the pakora Are my calculations that far out. I did dual bolus for this over a 4 hour period and BG during the evening were OK at around 7.5. Going to bed it had crept up slightly to BG of 8.1. I know the fat content will cause delays in rises of BG, but to double overnight seems a bit strange Any thoughts on the carb contents, what i can do differently, maybe even what i could eat differently. I do love my Indian food from the local takeaway Thanks in advance
