[QUOTE="Japes, post: 2155216, member: 277410"] To my utter amazement, I've had a great day 1 on my DAFNE course. I was in the foulest of moods, (and have been for some time - every time I thought I was getting over it, I wasn't!) and not necessarily up for it. It's been acknowledged that for most of our group, we've already worked out a lot of what does and doesn't work for us as individuals, but most of us are after fine-tuning that and have been enjoying swapping stories. We're a mixed bunch of ages and types, but finding a lot of common ground! I didn't even have to explain LADA to anyone! Not sure my brain likes the CP idea but it's livable with whilst I have to. I now have a shiny new meter to replace my trusty original clinic-issued one which is no longer being made and hopefully will be switching from flex pens to Echo pens and cartridges. I might even be getting a half-unit pen as I had enough evidence with me to prove that it would be helpful. Think this two weeks of doing stuff just for me is probably very well-timed. Especially if we're going to be as efficient as we were today and got let out early! I got a heap of tasks done on the way home which also cheered me up no end - several of them have been frustratingly difficult to achieve. (Phone shops who have the phone I want on the display unit, but can't actually get hold of them and try to sell me what I don't want - you are top of the list of frustrations. Finally, I found one in the local supermarket... I'm cheap and basic in the phone department, don't need a bundle or contract as I don't use enough texts/calls per month and don't need data.)
