My visits with my endo are mostly just any supply changes you need, and then just general gab. Same with diabetic educator. I could drop the DE but she's a type 1 and so knows more about actual life as a type 1. She also does phys therapy out of the hospital and is there every day. My endo is on another island and flies over once a month and right now not at all. So if I ever have to go into the hospital I like the idea that the DE is familiar with me and has said have them call her right away. She has said the hospital has been real cooperative about letting you have your pumps and you keeping control of your own blood sugars if you can. So I will keep seeing the DE twice a year, the endo now because of insurance I have to see her every 3 months. My GP I have to see every 6 months too. Sigh before diabetes I used to only see a doctor when actually needed. At least the telehealth visits are pretty easy we're doing now. My husband prefers seeing them in person......I'll keep telehealth visits if I can I think. I might feel different if I didn't already know them.
