And that's another week in this weird world of educating done... So, time to own up to yesterday's moment of forgetfulness. I've taken to finishing the working day by going off for my once a day walk, then eating when I've had my bath after the walk. But, because every week has had a different routine and this week has seen a ridiculous amount of this, (thank you snow day which wasn't) I had a brain meltdown,. I carefully calculated my bolus, as my tea was cooking, entered it in MySugr, had a moment of distraction and then promptly forgot to take the blessed insulin. The bedtime check was OK, a bit higher than usual, but as I'd eaten a bit later I wasn't too bothered. But, when I did what has become a regular-ish 2.00 a.m. check, an 18.0 did not impress me one iota and it was only when I got the Echo pen out to do the correction, I realised I'd had no fast-acting since lunchtime. Oops... all back on an even keel again now.
