The very simple answer is yes. If you are a T2 and multiple tablets are not helping then insulin may be needed and with the right regime and dose it can give you excellent control. I was on tablets which finally failed to work and since being on insulin I have excellent control. I have also controlled my carbs for many years which is the first priority.
