Being newly diagnosed as type 2 diabetic, questions keep popping in to my head, so here's another one.
I suffer with kidney stones, I have a small one at the moment that gives pain occasionally. I understand that diabetes can have an effect on the kidneys, so, could my diabetes have any effect with the kidney stones?
When the pain from the kidney stones starts, I often take co-codomol (30/500mg) and if its unbearable pain, diclofenac 50mg. If this doesn't work, then its A+E where morphine might be given. I know A+E staff would ask anyway if I was diabetic but could the pain killers I take cause any complications beforehand?
