Type 2 & blood sugar at 32.5 help !!!

I had this problem at the beginning of January, i called the 111 service as my gp was closed and after receiving a phone call from a doctor within an hour i was told to go straight to the hospital. I would recommend the same if you haven't already

I am newly diagnosed and your readings do not sound good, remember that the health professions work for us and you are not bothering anybody your health is more important call 111 for advise and if you are not happy go to your local A&E, you have rights and your right is to get the best treatment available. please look after yourself

I had a very similar experience - 20's and 30mmol and HI on the old meter - the Dr's were unresponsive for a good while about my HBA1C results - I was on Gliclazide and Metformin for 10+ years.

I noticed my eyes were becoming a little more blurry than usual (Just assumed I needed new glasses). After a trip to the Opticians and an urgent referal to the Dr's I was diagnosed with Diabetic Retinopathy in my eyes - I'm now in the process of having Eye Injections and Laser for Diabetic Retinopathy in my eyes. My kidney's are also functioning normally, but leaky and producing proteins and blood in my urine.... Which the docs are trying to stabilise with medications.

Truth be told I think I should have been put on Insulin far far earlier than the GP's had me on - it took something 'going wrong' for the 'wakeup call' to be heard at the GP's. Don't take any B/S from them... The specialist clinic now see to me regularly.... The annoying thing is I had my HBA1C and annual reviews consistently and was never advised any differently. If your sugars are high, they're doing damage.

Get checked!!!!!! -
