Hi Everyone,

I'm a type 2 diabetic and in the last few days I ahve been really ill and people have said they think its flu.

Symptoms are: Headache, dry constant cough, runny nose/sneezing, pains in my hips and knees, loss of apitite, loss of taste and smell.

I'm also peeing alot aswell and my vision has gone very blurry but I think these are just the Diabetes symptmos.

My family are a little worried because where I haven't been eating I've not been taking my meds as the doctor said to take them with food. I have been trying to eat but it doesnt stay down because I cough so much I throw it up.

I'm not really sure what to do. I'm also having to come to work because someone else is off sick and they say they need me to cover when all I want to do is sleep.

Please if anyone could give me advice it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dani

:( Hi Doxii,

Sorry that you are feeling so poorly. I would go back to my GP asap and try to eat little and often. Also I would be staying at home and resting to help yourself to get better quicker. Hope you feel better soon

Thank you Bernie. I'm going to call my dr later and see what he says.

Unfortunately, my work wont let me go home and if I don't come in I'll be in trouble with my managers :(

Doxii,

Your managers are not playing the game, if you are ill they can't expect you to work. Your health comes first xx
