I've now been diagnosed since March.
I've adopted the LCHF diet since April which seems to agree with me (and my wife who is on it with me).
I am three metformin a day,
I exercise by walking and playing table tennis
I test regularly.
I have now lost over a stone in weight.
My average BS over the past month has been 4.7.
Yesterday, I managed to dress in a Uniform that I haven't been able to fit in since 2009 for a WW1 Commemoration service at my local church.
I'm still waiting for an appointment for the Retinal Scan referred for 2 months ago - but a routine eye test two weeks ago saw no signs to worry the Optician.
In some ways the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes has been a wake up call, and most certainly has made me reevaluate how I was living before. A sedentary life style coupled with a diet that was low fat (due to high cholesterol) now completely turned on its head.
So, is this progress or just a holding pattern? Can I assume that I'm now post-diabetic?
Just wondering?
