Hi
Six weeks ago my type 2 diabetes was out of control .My blood glucose was over 19 .
I was given tablets which I could not tolerate,so I Decided to take matters into my own hands.
I went on a low calorie (800 ),low carb, low sugar regime,
Now I am two stones lighter and blood glucose down to 6.7 and feeling great

Well Done :) seems to work for some people but sad to say not all ... ;):(

Great news, keep up the good work. It is great to hear success stories and great that you have been so proactive in helping yourself. A massive pat on the back.

Hi Aggied... What you have done for yourself is amazing... :) so nice to read your post... Are you testing before and after your meals? Have you checked in to some of the other threads on the forum? There is one called Low Carb Recipes, which has some lush ideas in it, 'What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?' and 'Low Carb - What have you eaten today?' Good luck with your journey, you seem to have started it really well... :)

Always good to read some one has mastered the dreaded lergy as I call it ....Well done :)

Welcome to the forum, and well done.
How are you feeling today Pat? Hope you had a good night:)
My friend and me should have been doing an open garden tour today ( local people open their gardens to the public, proceeds go to charity) but the weather is not nice, it's really cold, very windy and rain so I got all my housework done instead. I like the open day every year but think May is a bit early for plants to be at their best, July August would be better. Lots of very large houses here with massive gardens, sadly I don't own any of them, just my humble apartment ;) really hope you're having a better day
