Type 2 Life

@mo53 - How are you doing on the low carb then? = Honestly? Are you taking Metformin? If so, what dosage and how long been on it?
 
@liam1955 I'm on metformin twice a day. I went on lchf when I was first diagnosed in April 2014. I lost 2 stone in 6 months and really improved my hbc1. Then life last year got in the way and gradually I went back to old eating habits, put all weight back on and rise in hbc1! So I've gone back on low carb. I find it is good for blood sugars and weight but it takes some thinking about . I find it really has to be planned for. Sorry that was a long answer.
 
@mo53 - But, did you not recently have a good result with your HBA1C? And here's me thinking you have had Diabetes for some time - so your a 'newbie' then! (Ha Ha). What about family history of Diabetes? When I saw my GP last week he told me when I go to see the Liver Specialist, I'll no doubt have my "diet" tweaked accordingly. So, I will probably end up just eating Dust!!!
 
@Galja - I have Plantar Fasciitis and have exercises to do from the Podiatrist. But, you can use a wooden rolling pin for your foot to roll over.
 
@mo53 - Have got appointment for 6th June to see Liver Specialist. And then at Dermatology to see Consultant about these Biological Injections on 10th March - my spine, in fact all my joints just ache in bed, during the day so long as I am on the move I am pain free.
 
@liam1955 that's awful as we all need sleep. I'm a funny sleeper as I'm often awake for a couple of hours during the night . Pain in the spine must be dreadful. I hope they will come up with something better to ease this for you.

Thank you Barbara, I woke at 2.30am fell asleep around 4am awake at 6am so got up then. As you will understand, the worst thing for hubby and I (and the staff that work with D ) is that he can't tell us if he's in pain and we can't explain to him what happened. He has scan next week to try to find out what happened we're trying not to think about what the cause might have been ( I should have posted this on ASD thread) @Diamum5972
 
Morning everyone, thanks for all the support yesterday, had a restless night but feel more like myself today. Son had a good sleep and hubby off to work as usual. Fbg was up this morning but that hasn't stopped me enjoying a slice of thick white toast and cheese and a cuppa. Not going to test again till pre- lunch have a good day everyone and, thanks again. Anna XX

Re-starting the Dapagliflozin today, GP said to stop it for 4 days and use the DAKTACORT Cream for 4 days only. The 'thrush' has gone now, it was in the creases at top of my thighs/groin area (not on my "bits" thank goodness). Thrush is just 1 of the side effects from taking this drug - but the drug is brilliant at lowering my b.s. and my HBA1C, which I am having my Bloods done on Friday.
 
That will be interesting for you to see the result of your HbA1c @liam1955 after all the carry on of recent weeks. Glad the rash has gone, you wouldn't have been able to have a good scratch in public (naughty Anna)
 
Glad to hear you're feeling better Anna, DS had an early day at college today (he had to get the 8am bus!) so I cheated and went back to bed after he left I'm visiting mum this afternoon so I'd better have some lunch, hope everyone has a good day
