Type 2 Life

Wow that is an amazing weight loss. Well done. It's a wonderful feeling buying clothes in much smaller sizes. The only problem is that you need a completely new wardrobe but that is a great one to have. Hope the weight loss continues until you reach your ultimate goal.

Morning everyone, I've got a busy day today so I won't be on much. @Alzebra well done on your incredible weight loss, you really are a star!
@liam1955 I hope your injection will help, I'll be thinking of you. My younger brother has a phobia of needles, I will always remember the time when he needed a blood test as a teenager and it took 6 nurses to hold him down! We nicknamed him Hulk after that

Just got my latest HbA1c 38 or 5.6 dropped from 40 5.8 I love LCHF and walking and no meds

That's great @13lizanne
Well done. Your fasting readings are so low now, much better than mine. You've really found what works for you and you say you love it so you should be able to keep it up. Great result.

The Nurse drove here to York from Manchester and arrived 40minutes early, as I was up early (could not sleep) and was looking forward to having the Injections I was only too pleased that she arrived and Welcomed her. The Nurse gave me 1 injection and she watched me give myself the other 1 injection. And it is 2 injections per week for the next 3 weeks and then 2 injections every month. I should (?) start to notice/see a difference as soon as 4 - 6 weeks = Yippeee
Thank You for the kind thoughts to: @13lizanne - @mo53 - @Diamum5972 and anybody else? (sorry, if I missed you off)

@liam1955 I'm not surprised you couldn't sleep. I'm so glad everything went to plan. Fingers crossed now that the injections work wonderfully.

I've been lchf -ingfor seven months now but my fbg was much higher than the rest of my daily readings until about five to six months in when it suddenly dropped to match the other daily readings so don't despair! Yours will come down too

Hi everyone,
Hope it's a good day for you all.

@13lizanne Well done, great result.

@liam1955 I really hope you will get excellent results from the injections, that they aren't too uncomfortable to have and that there are no side effects from them, fingers crossed.

Had the all clear on the Retinopathy test today .

Evening, FBG 4.5 mmol/l today. BMs were low at 3pm (3.1 mmol/l). Had a light sugary meal and had a nap. BMs at 6pm were 6.2 mmol/l. Pretty cloudy and looks like rain soon.

@doolallylady - That's Good News Karen about your Retinal Screening results. Was that your 1st?
No nausea for 3 hours ( like previous drug), just got a 'vague headache'. At some point this week got to have a 4 week review Liver Function Blood Test.

Hi @13lizanne
I know LCHF works for a lot of people here but it seems that I may be malnourished so I have to see a dietician. My GP wants me to get my BMI up to 20 and I'm finding that difficult. I was happy with my weight loss and have been working on keeping my weight stable. I am trying different foods and testing and nothing seems to spike me any more which I assume is good. I just don't have any energy which concerns me whereas most people say they have lots of energy on low carb. I do feel a bit better when I have increased my carbs slightly so that might be the way forward for me. It's just against everything I read on here so I'm confused.
