Type 2 Life

@tina_marie you are a saint! Hope Ron's feeling a bit better now -it is normal for BG levels to fluctuate during the course of the day. Almost anything can cause BG to rise and lower. Higher carb food is usually the main reason for rises, followed by illnesses, infections, stress, pain etc. Levels can drop after exercise, time passing after eating, after medication etc and sometimes- for no good reason that we can see at all. Try not to worry, Ron's has wonderful support in you and you are both working hard to keep his diabetes under control. We're all here for supporting you both as well.

Dn was very happy with my bgs. In fact she reconfirmed I was doing right with mymeds and I've lost 3lb since my dietician last week. Hoping canagliflozin doesn't let me down whilst I lose weight and reduce my insulin further. Fingers crossed.
Well done ickihun

thank you , I wasn't worried but couldn't find anything to say it could of been the tablets. just wanted to prove him wrong lol.

Actually, now you mention it, I've been surprised with lower numbers since I came off it. Just put it down to less pain as the new painkillers have taken the fog blanket of aches away. Still got stronger pain spots but tho seem stronger overall more bearable.....

Send him our support too.
See how the next few hours pan out. Luckily not huge spikes but annoying nevertheless.
Has he been advised to keep moving or has he been advised to rest?

How do you know it's not 'flu, Paula? There are some weird bugs around right now... x

Wow! Well done!

I've tried a few test foods, but chocolate cake is the only one so far which has given me a whopping great spike, too.
Dammit.

@ickihun - Well Done Vicky I am so pleased for you I made a Chai Seed Pudding and scoffed half of it already, if R is not back soon there will be none left!
Just writing up my 'ammendments' to the recipe and will put it on the thread.
I take it it's good then.......
Better hold off on that move to York, @ickihun - it sounds as if William will just be licking the plate when you get there!

Afraid I eat half in one go too but doesn't budge the bs. I've made it with hazelnut butter and it s rather hard to "heap' chia seeds

He's got a mind of his own. How dare he. Ha ha I'm sure he will co-operate when he knows things will get better and you're helping him do that.
