I've still got that problem had it since 1996! A woman alone is difficult especially when neighbours like booze@maureen5752, I had some problems with an ex neighbour a while ago and I know how aggravating it is when you want nothing to do with them but they just won't leave you alone. Hopefully it will get sorted out soon, and in the meantime have a massive hug from us all
Ahhh, Maureen - we miss you! How can we get this sorted out?It just won't let me do anythink, can read very first messages from page 1!!!!! Then it cuts of and I have to try & rejion over & over till it accepts me, usualy says no one that name registered! I certainly can't send PM messages, this happened before but much worse this time, I can get PmS, but can't see attachment. ...understand there's been some photos! Won't let me see them!
Do you have any idea which painkiller your Mum was given for her arthritis, Vicki?I'm sure the diagnosis will be tactled like you have your diabetes. I have faith in you and tina's abilities to cope with this problem and get the best possible result from it.
My mum has a form of arthritis but I do understand there are a few different types. Is your problem worse when in cold weather or very hot weather? Worse after lying in bed for a long period. My mum has it in her back and arms but last week her gp told her now in her hips. He offered her a strong painkiller which gives reflux but now has medicine for it. She's much more comfortable and has gone back to her gardening.
What I'm really trying to say is you and tina will sort this out. It's never good to be left in limbo like this. I hope this afternoon starts some good treatment and a bit closure to the not knowing worry.
Thank god you have @tina_marie who is worrying too.
I would definitely agree with that, I'm also a woman alone (and my son has special needs) and in the 20 years we've lived here we've had 6 alcoholic neighbours and even a drug dealer used to live directly upstairs! I suppose that's the joy of living on an ex council estate :/I've still got that problem had it since 1996! A woman alone is difficult especially when neighbours like booze
Hope you have a better time on your Desmond course than we did.Hello everyone, sorry I haven't been on here for a few days. Work has been manic. I'll try to catch up with the threads.
I have taken a days annual leave tomorrow in order to do a Desmond course. I haven't got high expectations. I will be very cross if I find myself stuck in a room being told to eat brown bread. Especially if it's a gorgeous day like today when i could be outside. @eldergarth, didn't you do a Desmond course recently which you you said was awful? We can compare notes after tomorrow
I am now going to get out of my work clothes and catch some sun in the garden.
I suppose the good news is that if it's arthritis in Ron's hip, then it can be treated... But I totally agree with what others have said - the quicker a diagnosis is available, the quicker things can be sorted out. Hugs xYour right I do worry about him. Its been nice having him home so I can fuss over him , but I think all this waiting around is driving him nuts . He's one of those who thrives on work and he enjoys what he does. He's looking into getting a new car as the one we have he's now struggling to get in and out off. Suppose given time I will get use to all the diabetic down sides . It just seems to be one thing after another . Before we can get to the bottom of what's happening now I'm getting prepared for the next thing to happen. Ron mentioned pains in his legs to the doctor and nurse ages ago and nobody seemed bothered now this has happened.
