Type 2 Life

I have ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis and a severe narrowing in part of the colon, so constipation was a really big problem for me. Not being rude, but I was either trying to go or trying not to
I have diverticultis, developed a large abscess which burst inside me. They removed the end of my colon, stitched it up. 5 days later the stitches came apart, had peritonitis and well it's a long painful story.

Oh. My. God.
I can't imagine all the horrors you guys have been through on your respective journeys. My heart goes out to all of you.... xxx

Feels like Summer here this week, constant sunshine, temperatures of 22-25C and all of nature's wonders on display.

Talking about feeling guilty.... I don't know what came over me but I've just eaten a huge bowl of toffee fudge ice cream - there goes the ketosis!
I'll be interested to see if your fbg is lower for a day or a few. Apparently its predicted to.
what number gives you hypo symptoms?

I've just tested for you Vicki, it's 4.8 which is about right for this time in the evening I've just had a long brisk walk. Being med free I have to exercise, it's hard work keeping the BG down, eating ice cream is a definite no-no and I'm expecting higher BG levels for the next few days. I'll increase my exercise and get back to lchf and try to ignore the rest of the ice cream lurking in the freezer. I've never been below high 3s don't hypo when med free

We are all "bonding" better now and soon it will be "group hug" lmao

Well, it makes me feel a whole lot better and more confident of dealing with this journey now, knowing I can call on this wonderful bunch of nutcases and all their incredible experience and support. You've taught me heaps already and I'm sure will continue to do so, and I feel like I now have a second family.
Love you guys! x

I get hypo symptoms at 3.3 mmol/l and under. Usually between 3.4 and 5 it's a grey area.
