Type 2 Life

I'm having a cuppa too @13lizanne, I've done the housework and A is attached to the PlayStation. He got the Lego Marvel Avengers game yesterday so he's having a whale of a time! I'm going for a walk up to Morrison's this afternoon, I heard that you can get low carb tortilla wraps from there and I wanted to try them out. Even though I'm still feeling tired and headachey my 2 hr pp was 6.3 so the housework did the trick! Hope everyone has a good afternoon

Isn't it strange that people, who know that we are diabetic, still offer us foods that are "off the menu" it is difficult when it's the in-laws @liam1955 isn't it, we can't be quite as direct with them. I'm very lucky that my family understand
 
I am ready to go, don't you just hate it, when a time is arranged and other people are not ready!!!!!! @maureen5752 is having trouble with this site, it's taking ages and then she is cut off! She feels her time on here is "finished" for good and wishes us all well. What can be done to help her with this problem??? I have to throw my arms in the air and admit that Technology "baffles me"!
Yes = @13lizanne no matter how many times I tell Family I should not be eating this and that - they don't hear me. But, at least I never get offered Meats always a vegetarian option. Byex

My bloods have dropped down to 12.8 this morning and I'm pleased with this


Need to do a food shop at some point today
 
@ickihun hi Vicki your theory may be correct. My BG before lunch was 4.4 it's usually 4.9-5.3 I did have a much longer walk than usual this morning though so it could be that which has dropped the bg. I'll keep you posted, I know that you're interested in the science of ketosis
 
Hi everyone, hope it's a good 1 for you all, hugs for those who need them.

The weather is absolutely gorgeous here, I even managed half hour in the garden (having a coffee, not working) after doing the weekly shop with hubby. What a joy that is .

@13lizanne, Anna it sounds as though you have energy to burn today

@liam1955, Re: Maureen, the only thing I can suggest is deleting her cookies and cache, run a virus check & malware scan and then re-joining under a totally different name. She seems to be having it a lot worse than the rest of us, I had a problem again last night, but closing down everything sorted it for the time being(fingers crossed). If you can contact her, suggest it, it might not be a solution but at least some things can be ruled out hopefully. It would be a real shame to lose her.

@Diamum5972, hope the rest of the symptoms disappear soon.

Well, I haven't been for any long walks this morning, but I have looked after the two Tiny Terrorists while their mum went shopping, which is the equivalent of a 10-mile hike! Now I have to work this afternoon so I'll be chained to my keyboard for the next 5 hours.

No, really, don't worry about me - I'm sure I'll be fine! You all just go and enjoy the sunshine...

Finally got back on again, read the post @ liam1995. Thanks very much for your help (hugs). Spoke to diabetes uk they are confused but they did say they've been haveing some problems. So it seems it may be a case of continual rejoining for me zzzzzzzz. The lady I spoke to was lovely & is trying to help. I know how you feel about the food problem, have a friend who always thinks she knows it all!!!!! And she won't listen always talks louder and faster to get her opinion in, she just doesn't understand what we have to do/not do and eat, in her house she doesn't eat breakfast/ dinner only lunch but when she's in someone else's house well different story. She days you can eat this/ that! Said she's been reading on Internet! Well I've missed you all, bet you've all had a good rest! Ha ha Many thanks to Liam & catherinecherub for your help. Hi to everyone

@Diamum5972 - It's gonna have to be a BIG Cake if we all on the Forum are having a slice! I will have to save my slice for tomorrow, already had a slice of fruit cake today.

@maureen5752 - As Karen has said = @doolallylady - maybe re-join under a new Avatar name and see if that would help? Perhaps contact either the Administrator or Giverny? Don't know what else to suggest?? Where is @eddie1968 when you need him?
