It sounds as if you had the longer-lasting version, then, which should start to work by this Weds or Thurs but should last for a month or two. That would make sense, as your knee should have pretty much healed by then. Fingers crossed.Thanks Folks. Because of never having Steroids before, - I thought by having them injected it would be more or less an immediate effect (within 24 hours), my joints and Knee are all the same as before the injections. Only thing I have is 2 tender lumps on my right buttock where the injections went. The Rheumatologist did give me her Secretary's phone number and I do remember something about after a week!!
I think the intramuscular injections are the longer-lasting ones... The ones they inject into the joints seem to work pretty much straight away, although they don't last very long. (Sorry for the slow responses - I've missed 24 hours because I was laid up myself!)@Sable_Jan - No. Rheumy sent me for multiple X-Rays and bloods to be done first, then the Nurse said the injections were Intramuscular.I am at the Hospital next Thursday f o r something else, so I could leave a message with the Rheumy's Secretary.
Depends on your length of step. Mine's from DCUK shop and you take 10 steps, measure it, divide by 10 and that's what you set it to for accurate, at least more accurate, mileage.
