From what I've learned of you so far, I think you'll succeed with bells on! You're strong and determined, you face life head-on, deal with the challenges, and then brush yourself down and move on, And you never lose your sense of humour.I agree @debrasue . No one has it all.
When I was infertile I wanted kids. Now I want a free babysitter as I get no time to myself. Other than typing on here and shopping.
No one seems to have it all. That's life.
Like Eddie espressed contentment is the key. Once that choice is taken away it can be very hard to deal with.
My life is looking like the opposite I used to have. I had extreme high levels of money and loneliness with workaholic as a nickname.
Now at home excessive long periods and hubby and toddler for company. Come september little one will be at nursery 2.5 days. Time for adult life. No cartoons or having to stop my life every few minutes.
Then following september I want to go back to uni. Hoping for a sponsor.
This will only work if I keep personal bills in it's place. Companies get greedy and can get silly.
Bigger the family and family home - bigger the bills.
I feel a novice in this department. I just try my best. Hopefully it works to my advantage. Maybe?
Evening all. Don't know how to post photos, pity cos I've had a big bunch of flowers from interflora with happy birthday balloon & another charm from my daughter for the braclet she bought me before, the charm is heart shaped with Mom on the front & back but the O is heart shaped in a pink stone on both sides. It's beautiful. Went for short walk & Ive been naughty!! Oops I bought a choux cake with cream inside! But they come in box of 2! Never mind tasted great but didn't take long to eat sadly
They do grow up too quickly, Cumbs, and I don't like it one little bit! My son lives in Nottingham, which is way too far away for my liking, so I can't imagine how I'd feel about China... That's the other side of the world !!I'm gonna feel a bit lost after midnight as our son jets off to China to work for the next 2 months
They grow up far too quickly don't they or is it that I'm aging fast lol
Sounds as if you're having a nice day, Maureen - I'm very glad to hear it!Evening all. How about "ice cream wipers" - our son's take on windscreen wipers
I believe that there is someone out there for everyone , its just knowing where to look. I met Ron on a computer dating site.I think what you said is important to people in life. I really do have 99% of what I want out of life, just a nice lady to share it with before I become old n grumpy lol. If you are easily satisfied and and don't overextend your goals you can have a content life @13lizanne
@Robinredbreast met her man friend at the hospital and wasn't even 'looking'....if it's meant to be it happens...I believe that there is someone out there for everyone , its just knowing where to look. I met Ron on a computer dating site.

At least it's only for two months, though, and there's always FaceTime...
Hugs x
Then you've obviously done a great job in bringing him up to be so outgoing and confident! Although I understand exactly where you're coming from, it's an incredible opportunity for a young lad and you should be very proud of him. There's lots his age who are content to just draw benefits, or flip burgers for a living...If it all goes well for him he might extend his stay for up to a year or he might come back
It's something I would not do on my own I'd be way too scared

Well done, Cumbs - he sounds like a real credit to you!
It's not easy when they leave/go away I'm still lost now my daughters gone, & she's only 30mins drive away, they have their life & they don't always think about how we worry, when I think back I up & left in less than a week!! Didn't know exactly where I was going or walking into when I went to Iran, when I think of my parents now, given the time agsin I wouldn't have left my parents, but they need to spread their wings. & exsperience new things, not easy for us parents but I bet he's got a good head on his shoulders, he'll appreciate you more when he returns, children are only loaned to us, don't stress he'll be ok.If it all goes well for him he might extend his stay for up to a year or he might come back
