dishonesty, people who throw garbage out on to the streets,
Was sick last week with a head cold (first one in 3 years), cleared up for 2 days, but this a.m. I have stomach flu. I've slept most of the day today and could only hold down water but starting to feel better. I've taken out some homemade turkey broth for supper but since I haven't eaten for 24 hrs now, was wondering if I had to be careful reintroducing solid food after a 24 hr fast. (BGs good when I tested today) Advice would be appreciated.

Sorry you have been sick, and no reply so far. I hope by now you will have found your own solution and are well again.
If you have been fasting for stomach bug it may be best to reintroduce food slowly. Turkey broth, or any bone broth I find good for this. I would also make an exception to my usual low carb eating and start with some dry toast, or small spoonful of rice with lemon juice, taking it easy with fats and veg for the first two days.
On the other hand, fasting for diabetes control or weight loss I would introduce carbs only after the first two days. Would start with lean protein first such as small amount of chicken or fish, first two days, adding in veg on day 3 and milk and or cheese day 4, leaving the carb until day 5. This is just a personal preferance, but it works fine for my blood glucose levels.
In all fasts it is important to drink water and remain hydrated.

Thank you for your advice. I'm over the worse of it now. I had broth the first day, then mushroom soup the next, then yesterday a small portion of lean meat and some veg. I'm still eating less than usual but am feeling closer to normal now. BG dropped pretty low a few times (3.9, 4.3) but managed it. I used to eat dry toast and chicken rice soup before low carbing so wasn't sure how to deal with it. But thank you for your advice.

Nothing wrong with those levels if you're not on BS lowering meds, your liver would have done its job.
