Hi type 2s. my hubby has had fasting BG of 7.7, 2 mornings in a row and evening BGs have been between, 8 and 10.6. I'm type 1 myself so Understand that side of it well but not sure about the levels considered acceptable for a type 2. He is what you would consider a risk for type 2, diet, lifestyle and weight all wrong. He has made an appointment to see doc, under duress I may say.
In your opinions is he gonna get diagnosed type 2.
Thanks in advance.

You need to wait and see what the Dr. says and whether he will be prepared to give him an HBA1c test.
Personally I would say that his levels are too high and he may well be diagnosed.

Hi. Sounds like he is likely to be diagnosed T2 but the readings aren't bad. Target bs levels for T1 and T2 are really the same except some DNs try to get T1s to set a higher target to avoid hypos with insulin.
