Hi
My dad has a diabetes type 2 ; takes 1 gram of metformin one tablet twice a day, trajenta 5 mg, glimepiridum 2 mg one tablet twice a day , for past 3 weeks his BM goes above 11; no carbs , no bread, no pasta, no rice for past 3 weeks and still his BM high like 19 , in the morning 15 before breakfast … drinking a lot of water … any help ? Any suggestion ?

Think he meets to go to gp, or if his ketones are high too call 111

I have been trying GP to adjust his medication. They referred to Desmond which discharge him before seen him. GP gived blood test and urine test. I done today. I am looking for Diabetic Doctor because that is going out of control .

No symptoms , heart rate 72, saturation 96… maybe some kind infection is coming …

Can he test for ketones?
How does he feel?
If he gets nauseous or develop a stomach ache or gets funny breathing, don't wait but get medical help.
maybe some kind infection is coming …
Could well be, and this could explain the high blood glucose.
But I'd still seek advice with those numbers, can't hurt to make a phonecall.
