Type 2: Rising blood sugar levels during sleep

could u please post this.

i am type 2 diabetic. my reading around 5am is 6.2 checked after just from bed. then i go to bed and awakeup around 630 am and have bath and checked it was more than 10. Could somebody advice me.

Yes. This is the Dawn penomenon. It is quite common.
What happens is that between 5.30 and 6.30 your body knows that it is about to get up and start the day, so your liver sends a big burst of glucose out into your system so that you can start the day with plenty of energy. Since you are diabetic this sends your blood glucose levels too high.

You may be the sort of person who cannot eat much in the morning, why would you with all that glucose in your system? However, if you eat a small low carb breakfast your blood glucose will probably come down again quite quickly. It works for me.
