There's good selection on the website shop ,

But you can have a look on Amazon and e-bay too. For most, the SD Codefree is adequate and has the cheapest test strips. This will reduce your ongoing costs.

Hi Daz @wenger68 and welcome
A lot of us find testing really helpful. The main expense is the cost of strips and the cheapest that folks on here have found is the SDcodefree.
Homehealth UK meter

Try here for the Codefree meter
http://homehealth-uk.com/product-category/blood-glucose/blood-glucose-monitor/

and here for the extra strips
http://homehealth-uk.com/all-products/sd-codefree-test-strips-to-be-used-only-with-the-sd-monitor/

Pharmacies don't sell them. There are discount codes if you buy in bulk
5 packs 264086
10 packs 975833

The above is direct from the manufacturer. You do need to tick to say you're diabetic so you don't pay VAT. Some buy from Amazon but I have bought direct from Homehealth. Buying in bulk either 5 or 10 packs works out at just over £5 for 1 pack of 50 strips.

Checking your bloods before a meal and 2 hours after is the best way to find out what you can eat and what is best avoided. We are all different so testing is helpful.
