We both have type 2 and diverticular disease so can't eat nuts and seeds, fruit and veg are a big problem too. I need help in finding foods which will lower carbs and sugar, any help would be appreciated.

Meat, fish, poultry? Might be worth looking into a so called carnivore diet. @Jim Lahey , I thought that was your thing, but not entirely sure?

I did see this topic and was going to link to the Carnivore Corner thread but decided it was inappropriate since I have no knowledge of this condition and what is or isn’t tolerable.

Usually with a flare-up, going without fibres for a little while, (through meat and liquid diet) will calm things down enough to reintroduce a little bit of fibre after a few days/weeks. Been there, done that. ;)
