Type of diabetes
Type 2
I take metfoermin and have just been put on glucozide my hb1c has gone up - wondering if the naproxin and co codamol might influence my sugar levels, I take 1000g metformin after breakfast and evening meal and the glucozide around lunch time, the naproxin at breakfast and evening meal 40mg each then I also take sinvastatin, hrt, and citrolapram at bedtime. I was doing ok until about three months ago, then my levels went up to 14 and down to 2.9 normally I would be between 5 and 7.5

Hi Sandra,
Interactions between drugs/body chemistry can be common, in which case they are usually documented, or particular to the patient, in which case they are not well documented.

I have found simvastatin makes one of my health problems worse.

Some have suggested simvastatin can up one's blood glucose levels, but it its notoriety is in regard to it causing arthritus symptoms.
It should never be taken with the blood pressure tablet amlodipine which also can cause arthritis.

My diabetes is controlled by diet....cutting down on carbs and eating low G.I.
