Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Stick in there kiddo. Do you think it may be dawn phenomenon? You may have tried all sorts but Some folk take a bit of cheese, a few nuts some resistant starch or a spoon of cider vinegar before bed to help with dawn glucose spikes. Some diabetics insulin levels shoot in the morning until they have eaten something. Not sure about metformin but might be worth searching on dawn phenomena and doing a few trials. Of course it may be something else.

Yes I do think it's the dawn phenomon

7.9 today, when waking up.

My natural level seems to be between 7 and 8 in the morning. Maybe its just me. Or the menopause, or something. But its not really dropped for 18 months so it seems I am stuck with it.

Was your liver up and about also?

I think it must have been in the kitchen raiding the shortbread tin! Unknown to me

This morning at about 8.30am I was still high at 9.1
Crab salad for lunch today at a cafe, along with diet coke and water. Maybe a boiled egg and avocado for tea, that might help. Went for a walk with the dogs this afternoon. None of us really enjoyed it as it's 21C here and very hot for us.
