Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Well done amgrundy, now keep it up

6.2 this morning. A short round of golf is required today (wet course!). I need to make allowances for my food on Friday. I have friends coming over for dinner . Have a good day all!

9.1 this morning but when I went to bed last night it was 5.1.

However I have a cold lurking and was coughing all night, so I guess this would affect my bg.

A lot if people on the forum find any virus, infection or inflammation effects there blood sugar. It is very common and some hospitals recognise it to. I know my hospital Lewisham in SE London do.
Hope you feel better soon

I'm having problems with meter readings this morning. I use an Accu Chek Mobile, and I was down to the last 9 tests (of 50). I did seven tests and kept getting 'test error' messages. So I opened my spare Accu Chek meter and set it up. The first reading was 9.5! I have been getting readings in the low 5s for the last few days so this didn't seem right. I did another test and it was 6.9. I think that is still high. The only thing I ate yesterday which was different to the last few days was one of those 25g Moser Roth chocolate bars.
Will have to see tomorrow if this was just an anomaly.

Hi folks. BG this morning was 3.9 at 7.25am. Recovering from Pneumonia. Over the worst now. Lost 12lbs in 10 days though. Not all bad then. Hope everyone is well. Have a great day folks. X

4.3 Had a very bad meal last night, ( Jacket potato and cauliflower cheese, Gammon. and banana, ice cream) so took an extra unit of insulin.
