Some take their meter to bed and test immediately on waking.
I test after my first release of my waterworks. Ha ha
Try both and see what you find.

8.5 its going down!! readings yesterday went to 7 two hours after eating lunch and stayed there till bedtime. Still haven't opened the meds!
