Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Well done. 43 is excellent.

Well done @Sutherlandlass Keep going you know it's working.

Thanks @Hiitsme ☺ must admit at being amazed at how well the lchf works, and at myself for managing to achieve this in such a short time! Fingers crossed that I can sustain the same progress by my next blood tests! I do find it hard to keep my carbs so low sometimes, and I can always see in my bg, when I have made a mistake or been over my limit. I had wondered if an extra dose of metformin in the morning, instead of just at night, might help? Any ideas?

I'm giving you an 'Air Punch' and a 'Get in there' on a job well done

I doubt that.
We cannot be perfect all of the time. No one can. We are all just trying our best but have hiccups - always.
This is a journey not a quick hop. You are both doing brilliantly.
Well done.
Thanks @ickihun did some experimenting with a shepherds pie with swede instead of mash and did spike me a little .
Thanks for the tip of the protein supper has helped get my morning levels down and stable for the first time since diagnosed

Try reheated mash. It doesn't spike me.

6.3 at 6.45 am, and 5.8 at9am after breakfast.

Was a bit higher than normal all day yesterday, and today I've been completely out of it - some evil diabetes fairy must have sneaked knockout drops into my veins... I assume I've got some sort of a bug.

Robbity

Can I ask users of this thread to stay on topic. This thread is for fasting bg results and is not a general chat thread. We had this problem before and people were given a general chat thread to use for that purpose. Lots of people are assisted by posting their FBG and it would be a shame to close the thread.

Lower again this morning at 7.4 (7.8 yesterday) at 05.25am
Weight down from 9.87 st to 9.79 st

Good morning
Fbg = 6.4 @ 0635
Still waiting for new grandson.
Have been looking after 2 yo grandson yesterday and today.
Could be a bit of 'stress', maybe. Ha! Ha!
