Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

2/6/16 - Morning All.

12. 4 - (forgot to take my evening Insulin yesterday).

6.5 FBG at 6:30am. Given the absolute rubbish I ate yesterday (including the dreaded McD) I'm thankful - back on track today
Well done @PenfoldAPD. I'm not a lover of McD's either, but they do have a very impressive nutrition calculator on the website, that you can use to calculate the carbs, cals, fats, etc for every item on their menu, as well as an "Explaining Nutrition" Page, however on closer scrutiny, the "How much should I eat" paragraphs very much toe the Official Government recommendations line and doesn't take into account the issues for T2s. I wish other eating houses would offer a similar calculator, though.

5.2 today.

I am trying to get it to average 5.0 over a normal week, which I am achieving just about.

I have agreed with my DSN to have another HbA1c test in July (3 months after the last one) and I am aiming for a slightly higher result this time.

Morning All

Very surprised to see a 4.9 this morning.

Was expecting it to be way higher after an upsetting phone call at 02,00 this morning to say my mum had passed away, and very little sleep as a result....

5.4 @6.50 today. Good day yesterday, 7.6 before breakfast, 7.5 before lunch and 7.8 before dinner.

Mine was 7.4 at 6.30 am Still got this cough virus that is going around, so maybe that isn't helping. Not been getting as much exercise as I should be. But weight not gone up, static for the past few days.

Hi Clive

Thanks for the supportive words.

In my view it was well overdue to be fair, but even so, it bites you a bit.

Cant quite believe some of the mistakes I've made today.

It seems however that the adrenalin released in times of stress actually helps lower the old FBG - er... Like what?

That's a new one on me.....
