Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Really annoyed. 6.7
. I fasted 24hrs and only had chicken salad for dinner. Yesterday was 6.1. Really annoyed

Keep your chin up. A 6.1 is still within the normal range, you are doing really well.
Have you ever experience high ketone while your BGL is on normal level?
I have done quite a lot of reading and mostly can find only high ketone related to type 1.
I am a type 2 and the only internet reference I can find is that LCHF might cause this.
Is it dangerous? Mine is atm on very high level.

Thanks for encouragement @Mbaker

Cheers,
Aini

Ketones are good for t2. T1s have to worry about them, we do not. It's a sign your body is using fat stores to function and therefore helping with weightloss.

6.1 for someone who's new to this is amazing. Look at what you're eating and trim back on more carbs if you can.

Thanks for this! I am feeling more relieved now knowing that it is not something dangerous. I am doing my best to trim carbs. I have already cut off rice, pasta, bread completely out of my life for the last month.

Hard butttt feeling healthier

I wish to improve day by day xx

30/7/16 - Morning.

5.8 - Now just taking 10mg Prednisolone as from today for 7 days.

I'll reply to this in 'Type 2 Life' thread shortly... Hugs xx

Our chinese takeaway seaweed is fried cabbage. Seaweed contains kelp. Kelp used to be used for thyroid disorders.
You are doing fantastic! An inspiration.

Fbg 7.3 due to carb treats yesterday and 22units of insulin.
I'm feeling like I'm half way there so very optimistic. Ive relaxed my severe lchf and I'm more of a pleasure to be around. I like myself again. I was punishing myself unnecessarily!
Good job I know my body better.

Good. Morning, happy to be at 5.8 FBG. Even had 2 x Chicken Kiev last night - posh Charlie Biigham ones, around 20g of carbs in total.

Happy Saturday
