Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Hi Folks

Was 6.1 this morning, after a 5.0 just before tea..

Evening figures seem fairly steady but my morning ones seem a bit erratic.

8.2 for me. If I increase insulin I can bring it down but do I risk a few lbs added or does running medium sugar levels make me add weight anyway?
I'm thinking if I come across a problem during my day where it puts me off a meal at least I've something to play with without a hypo. Mind u can you have a hypo with canagliflozin? I haven't had one yet.

5.7mmol/L before lunch. I can live with that.

Back from eye doctor for my diabetes check up. Floaters I get are inconsequential and my retinas are healthy looking she says.

Morning all

8.0 not so good

4.9 this morning that's more like it for me. Only a week before I see asthma consultant at Guy's

4.8 today. I'm happy with that. Loads of water yesterday, plus I consciously increased fats and reduced protein. I still tend to eat a bit too much meat, and of course that extra protein can get converted to glucose.
